We can divide the lenses used in cataract surgeries into three groups.

Intraocular lenses in the second group are bifocal lenses with two focuses, near and far; The patient sees both the near and the distance without glasses, but the distance between 40 cm and 2 meters, which we call middle distance, cannot be seen clearly.
Trifocal intraocular lenses, which we call Smart Lenses, have three focuses and are the lenses that solve this problem. When this lens is worn, the patient can see the distance, near and intermediate distance (distance between 40 cm and 2 meters) well without glasses.
Trifocal intraocular lenses are lenses developed to provide good vision in the middle distance while providing good distance and near vision.
What we call middle distance; Vision is clear in tri-focus lenses at distances where vision quality should be important, such as computer usage distance, television viewing distance, and access distance to the kitchen counter.
