Orthopedics Clinic: We face trauma mostly with a surprise such as fall, sports injury, occupational

surgeries include meniscectomy or repair of meniscus, arthroscopic
reconstruction surgeries for anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate
ligament, medial-lateral cruciate ligament and combine cruciate ligament
injuries, arthroscopic microfracture or orteochondral cartilage transplant for
cartilage injuries; in case of dislocated shoulder, arthroscopic Bankart
repair, subacromial impingement syndrome, shoulder joint osteoarthritis, labral
tear excision-repair, cartilage surgeries and rotator cuff and these are
performed with atrhoscopic closed method; the patients can return to their work
and sportive life in a short time.
Spinal Surgery: Congenital or acquired scoliosis, kyphosis, Scheuermann kyphosis, spondylolisthesis,
spinal stenosis, degenerative problems of the aging spine, ankylosing
spondylitis, kyphoses and fractures secondary to osteoporosis and treatment of
these with vertebroplasty and kypoplasty, vertebral fractures and dislocations
secondary to spinal injuries due to accidents, all kinds of spinal infections,
tumors involving vertebra and treatment of these problems.
Pediatric Orthopedics and Traumatology: For children younger than 16 years of
age, follow-up and treatment of congenital hip dysplasia, cerebral paralysis,
myelomeningocele, congenital deformities, flat feet and tumors, developmental
disorders and fractures Foot and Ankle Surgery Treatment of degenerative
diseases of foot and ankle, sports injuries, fractures, ligament ruptures,
cartilaginous injuries Orthopedic Oncology Medical and surgical treatment of
all kinds of tumors in extremities especially all bones, muscles and soft
tissues.
Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Arthroscopic and open surgical management of
arthrosis of shoulder and elbow, rotator cuff diseases, recurrent dislocations,
diseases secondary to overuse or trauma. Treatment of gonarthrosis and
coxarthrosis in arthrosis-arthritis (hip, knee, shoulder and elbow prostheses),
revision surgeries in prosthesis infections and laxities, corrective surgeries
in alignment disorders of extremities, external fixator applications in
extremity (arm-leg bone lengthening surgeries), bone deformities, non-unions of
fractures and bone infections, Hip fractures; fractures requiring treatment
after traumas especially for elderly patients. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Trigger
Finger, De Quervain’s Tendinitis, Ganglion Cyst, Dupuytren’s Disease, Tennis
elbow and Golfer’s elbow are among the diseases dealt by the department.

Istanbul Health Practice and Research Center of Başkent University was built on the lot in Altunizade District, Oymacı Street No: 7 and construction of this new healthcare facility, which was equipped by modern devices and put into service on February 23rd, 2007, was completely financed by Başkent University.
Our hospital was founded in order to provide reliable, quality and swift healthcare services for the patients.Our university’s approach to the quality in healthcare is certified with “TS-EN ISO 9001:2015.”In this regard, our center is no different than other 9 hospitals of Başkent University that are located all over the country.Briefly, our center has carried the accumulated knowledge and experience of Başkent University to a new building in Istanbul.
In addition to our main building with 126 beds in 13.000 m2of indoor area, we provide healthcare services at outpatient clinics and Çekmeköy Dialysis Center with 44 beds.

There are inpatient clinics on 2 floors of the main hospital building.Close monitoring and security are the prioritized for inpatients.Security measures include, but are not limited to, the emergency warning system called “Code Blue” and telemetric monitoring.The patients can be monitored through fixed cameras when in their beds, while they can also be monitored through other cameras when not in their rooms.Thus, arrhythmia can be identified that may develop while walking, if it cannot be detected at rest.“Code Blue” system is activated when the nurse call buttons are pressed that are fitted in the patient’s room the bathroom.The constantly present “emergency response team” arrives on site as soon as possible to take over the “resuscitation” process.Administration inspects whether the intervention is performed swiftly or the the team arrived on site in a timely manner.
Moreover, technical matters such as temperature and ventilation systems of operation theatres, intensive care units and floors as well as performance of generators are continuously monitored at the automated central command center.Uninterrupted power supplies are always active in critical departments in case of power outages.Range of healthcare services are broadened with new outpatient clinics of Başkent University, which rapidly develops in Istanbul.
