Rheumatology

A branch of science that deals with rheumatic inflammatory diseases and other
musculoskeletal diseases. The diseases that cause pain and limitation of
movement, sometimes swelling and deformity in the muscles, bones, joints and
ligaments connecting these structures, which enable our body to move, are
generally called rheumatism.

Very different complaints may occur depending on the type of rheumatic disease. Apart
from the joints, rheumatic diseases can also affect internal organs such as the
heart, lungs, kidneys, skin and eyes.
