Urinary Incontinence Treatment in Women

 Intentional urinary incontinence in women is a common
problem over the age of 40. This problem, which affects the quality of
life of the person, progresses to interrupting their night sleep with the
desire to go to the toilet frequently. Women who suffer from this problem

Urinary Incontinence Treatment

There are two different methods in the treatment of
urinary incontinence in women for the two types mentioned above. In
patients with the first type (urinary incontinence without feeling urinary
urgency), bladder sagging occurs mostly due to age or vaginal delivery. TOT

In the second type of
urinary incontinence (in people with frequent urinary sensations), drug therapy
is the primary treatment management. Although these drugs have side
effects such as nausea, dry mouth and weakness, they give positive results in
treatment.

TOT Surgery in Urinary Incontinence

In principle, TOT surgery prevents patients from urinary
incontinence by strengthening the weakened tissues around the bladder. In
order to strengthen these tissues, a synthetic structure in the form of a
ribbon is used. During surgery, this strip is passed through the inside of
both legs and around the bladder after an incision is made in the vagina. The
healing effect of TOT surgery begins almost immediately after surgery, and
urinary incontinence is prevented with a frequency of up to 95% in the
following times. Since the supporting material used is synthetic, this
improvement in the structure of the bladder and urinary tract will last for a
lifetime.

After TOT Surgery

Undesirable problems caused by TOT surgery are mostly not
serious and uncommon. Since the operated area is mostly in the vagina,
there is no scar on visible parts of the body of patients who undergo
surgery. Recovery time after TOT will also be very short. Synthetic
strips or similar used in this surgery have been used in surgery for a long
time and the possibility of causing unwanted problems is very low. If this
surgery is performed in the morning, patients are generally advised to go home
in the afternoon.
