an electromechanical gait system that automatically provides the standard
walking pattern applied manually to the patient, it is a modern training tool

Patients are taken into the device through a carrier garment that was
previously worn on their bodies. Body weight is completely transferred to
the system by means of a crane. The extremity connections are completed
with robotic walkers and the position is ready for walking. Partial weight
transfer is provided on the belt with the initiation of the natural walking
pattern. Robotic walkers aim to reveal active movement by being sensitive
in walking or to strengthen active movement by perceiving it through sensors.
Studies have shown that in people whose walking pattern is affected after
injury or illness, repetitive walking movements help the brain and spinal cord
to work by following a new stimulation pathway. Until today, while physiotherapists
have been performing therapy sessions requiring intense power as a group for
locomotor treatment, it has been possible to apply an application with normal
walking pattern and speed to the patients regularly for long periods, thanks to
the robotic walking system. Thanks to regular exercises, the success rate
of the treatment has increased.
Inactivation problems that occur after the disease can cause very serious
consequences. Especially circulatory disorders and wear on the
musculoskeletal system are the main problems encountered. Weight transfer
on the bones during treatment helps to strengthen the bones and reduce the risk
of osteoporosis, and the activation of the muscles also positively affects the
circulatory system.
The primary goal of robot-assisted walking therapy is to
improve walking ability. Brain and spinal cord injuries, stroke and other
neurological disorders in which this function is lost are the main treatment
options. However, robotic assisted walking therapy is also used in
multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, hip prosthesis operations and other orthopedic
