Most endocrine and metabolic diseases require examination, treatment and supervision at outpatient settings. In this end, healthcare services are rendered in fields of General Endocrinology, Thyroid, Diabetes, Obesity, Lipid Metabolism, Hypertension, Pituitary Gland, Adrenal Glands and Metabolic Bone Diseases at the outpatient clinic that is organized to serve this purpose. These disorders are chronic diseases that decrease quality of life substantially along with increased health risks.

In Endocrinology and Metabolism Clinic of Güven Hospital, outpatient and inpatient services are provided through a multidisciplinary cooperation using all means of the modern medicine. Physicians, diabetes nurse and dieticians diagnose, supervise and treat diabetes mellitus. Our patients are provided with up-to-date and scientific care for diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases in line with scientific data and international guidelines.

Thyroid ultrasound, one of most valuable examinations in the supervision of thyroid diseases, is scanned and fine needle aspiration biopsy, if required, is performed by physicians of our department. In addition, after toxic thyroid nodule and thyroid cancer are diagnosed, our hospital has all medical means to treat and follow up our patients.

Both surgical procedures and low- and high-dose radioactive iodine therapy are performed by experienced physicians of our hospital. Full and safe follow-up is ensured through clinical examinations and imaging modalities (ultrasound, scintigraphic radioactive iodine scan) in the follow-up period.

Any and all diagnostic assays for endocrine disorders are available. Glucose Tolerance Test (ACTH (Synacthen) Challenge Test, Insulin Hypoglycemia test, Glucose-Growth Hormone Suppression test, Dexamethasone Suppression test, Water deprivation test, Salt Loading test, 72-hour fasting test, TRH Stimulation test, GnRH stimulation test, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin test (Pregnyl test), CRH Stimulation Test and GHRH Stimulation Test as well as other endocrinological diagnostic tests, if required, are performed by experienced physicians.

CRH Stimulation Test is done with inferior petrosal sinus sampling by distinguished interventional radiologists, while Aldosterone and Cortisol tests are done with Adrenal Venous Sampling.
