Infectious diseases unit deals with diseases caused by
bacteria and viruses in adults, in any part of our body or in any organ.

A wide range of diseases from flu to meningitis, urinary tract infections to
hepatitis, diarrhea, food poisoning and parasitic diseases are included in the
field of infectious diseases. In addition, it is among the tasks of the
infectious diseases unit to distinguish and evaluate non-infectious diseases
with high fever and then refer the patients to the relevant departments.

The Infectious Diseases unit also carries out the necessary studies to control
and monitor hospital infections and to minimize these infections; provides
training to patients, their relatives and relevant personnel on this
subject. Conscious, appropriate and effective use of antibiotics has a
special place in infection control studies.
