Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit

Cardiovascular diseases are an important cause of death in the world, and cardiovascular
intensive care is required for people with this disease, as it can lead to
sudden death.

The cardiovascular intensive care unit is a hospital
department specializing in the care of patients with severe cardiovascular
disease such as acute coronary syndrome, acute heart failure, and fatal
arrhythmia.

In the cardiovascular surgery intensive care unit, where
post-operative care and follow-up is performed professionally, a
pressure-adjusted isolation room where patients with weakened immune systems
can be followed up, measurements of basic parameters such as ECG, blood
pressure, respiration, the temperature at each bedside, as well as intra-aortic
balloon pump and all are performed. Some advanced monitors provide pressure
measurement that requires special intervention.

In addition to bedside monitoring, our monitor
technicians monitor patients for 24 hours with central monitoring. There is a
ventilator (artificial respiration device) at each bedside to provide
respiratory support.

Besides, mobile ventilators are used to transfer the
patient from the operating room to the intensive care unit and from the
intensive care unit to the radiology department for examinations such as
computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR).

Cardiac ultrasound, x-ray, EEG, chest tube insertion,
tracheostomy opening procedures are performed at the bedside when necessary.
The postoperative infection risk of our patients is minimized in our hospital.
Our intensive care unit has a closed system and special air conditioning and
ventilation system to guarantee patients’ wellbeing.
