Endoscopy is the process of examining all hollow body
cavities with specially designed tools called endoscopes.
In the past, rigid, rigid thin tube-shaped endoscopes were used, but nowadays,
flexible tools called fiberoptic, thin tubing, with a light source and camera
at the end, have been developed.
Their thickness varies between 8-10 mm and lengths between 110-160 cm. They
also have therapeutic properties that help to take biopsies and cut and remove
small tumors called polyps. If the esophagus, stomach and the first part
of the small intestine will be examined through the mouth with an endoscope, it
is called gastroscopy, which is better known as gastroscopy, while the
examination of the large intestines by entering through the anus is called
colonoscopy.
In our center, a separate place is reserved for endoscopy on the polyclinic
floor and its decoration is designed for the comfort of our patients.
Necessary examinations are performed by our specialist physician in the
endoscopy room with our advanced gastroscopy and colonoscopy devices.
Before and after endoscopy, we have bed rest rooms with a sink and a toilet,
where the patient can feel comfortable and rest.
