Generally, after the age of 40, it is a period that ends with the irregularity of menstrual bleeding and then cessation of menstrual bleeding in the period until the age of 55. Menopause means the last menstrual bleeding. She spends approximately one third of her life with a woman in this period. It is considered a natural phase of life. If menopause occurs before the age of 40, it is called premature menopause. Menopause can be experienced without any other discomfort other than the symptoms it should be. However, the number of women who go through this period in this way is only one-fourth. Causes of Menopause

The causes of menopause are the decrease of estrogen and progesterone hormones known as female hormones. After the 40s, the production of these hormones in the ovaries decreases thoroughly. This causes menopause. 

One of the most striking symptoms is the disturbance of the menstrual cycle. The amount of bleeding is reduced. Various disorders are also seen due to the decrease in estrogen hormone. There may be night sweats, flushing, palpitations, and rashes on the face. However, these symptoms may not be present in all patients. As the menopause progresses, these symptoms begin to decrease after 3-5 years. In addition, psychological disturbances come to the fore in menopause. There may be symptoms such as tension, irritability, and depression. Sleep quality is reduced. Apart from these, head and joint pain, sexual reluctance and muscle aches can be seen. All these are classic symptoms of menopause.

The ovaries of a woman of reproductive age produce one egg every month. If a woman is menstruating earlier than 22 days or later than 40 days, an irregularity can be mentioned. The amount of bleeding is also of great importance in determining the cause of menstrual irregularity. If there is no regularity of menstruation, if it bleeds continuously or does not bleed at all for a long time, this situation should be evaluated as an irregularity.

Causes of Menstrual Irregularity

If you experience frequent menstrual irregularities, there may be many reasons for this. Irregular menstruation can cause various damages depending on the cause. Of course, irregular menstrual problems are not always harmful. Sometimes stresses due to weather changes, examinations, weight gain or loss, and even if there is a drug used, it may cause delay. However, this delay is natural. However, causes such as stress and weight still need to be resolved. The damages of irregular menstruation can be quite large due to reasons such as fibroids, polyps, hormone-induced and egg disorders. It is necessary to consult a doctor for the detection of such situations. It should not be forgotten that early diagnosis is of great importance for many treatments.
