Child development unit

Children who show healthy development, have special needs,
have neurological or genetic problems, are under developmental risk or who have
chronic diseases and receive inpatient treatment; Cognitive, language,
motor, self-care and social-emotional developments are evaluated and potential
risky situations for their development are detected at the earliest
stage.

What are we doing in our Child Development Unit?

After making an appointment with the unit, the session, which
lasts 45 – 60 minutes, begins with the family and the child. The
evaluation process is carried out in two dimensions, including family and
children. Children and young people; Cognitive, language, social,
motor and self-care areas are evaluated, their general performances are
determined, these scores are compared with normative findings, and then
developmental tests are applied to the child according to the age group. At
the same time, families are also evaluated and a “family information
form” to get to know the family is filled.

The development age of the child is determined by making a
detailed evaluation, and appropriate personal development support programs are
prepared in line with their developmental needs, the necessary suggestions are
given for their implementation, and the process is guided.
