Medical Laboratory

Central Hospital laboratory is a unit that operates 24/7. In
our laboratory, we serve our patients and clinicians with our professional team
of experienced biochemistry and microbiology specialists and advanced analysis
devices. As in most laboratories, tests not studied in our hospital are
carried out through service procurement.

Our laboratory is regularly audited by LABPT, an external
quality control laboratory recognized by the Ministry of Health, as well as
internal quality control tests. Our laboratory results have been found to
be internationally reliable in external quality control audits.

Clinical Biochemistry

Clinical biochemistry is a branch of science where various
fluids, secretions and tissue samples of the body are analyzed at the level of
molecular structure in terms of diagnosing diseases, distinguishing them from
each other and examining the disease process. In other words, it is a
laboratory science specific to medicine and clinical studies. In order to
diagnose the disease in the clinic, the biochemical analysis results should be
in integrity with the available data. Negative or positive results
obtained in clinical biochemistry can support, guide or lead the diagnosis of
the disease. Clinical findings and biochemical analysis findings are
integrated as an event beyond complementing each other. They alone cannot
be sufficient in the diagnosis of the disease. In addition to its
complementary role in the diagnosis of diseases, clinical biochemistry has a
great importance in terms of preventive medicine. The parameters obtained
as a result of clinical biochemical examination before the symptoms of the
disease appear, help to predict the diseases that tend to occur in the future
and to take the necessary precautions.

Clinical Microbiology

Clinical microbiology deals with microorganisms that cause
disease and have been identified. These microorganisms may be common in
diseases that occur frequently, as well as zoonoses transmitted from animals,
those contaminated from food, and microorganisms that are widely found in
nature and exhibit opportunistic pathogenic features. When examining
disease factors in Clinical Microbiology, since bacteria, viruses and fungi can
be found together, each of them should be considered and examined separately. Clinical
