It provides the necessary support to all babies in need of intensive care. In the light of up-to-date information, it provides babies with
their families in a short time with modern medical equipment,
and provides the necessary resources for informing and educating families.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides advanced care
to babies with high risk such as preterm birth, multiple pregnancy, babies of
mothers with diabetes, large babies, babies who swallowed meconium in the womb,
brain and other organ damage caused by difficult birth.
In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; respiratory
support (ventilator therapy), blood exchange, phototherapy (light therapy),
percutaneous catheter applications (thin vascular access from the thin vessels
in the arm and leg to the heart), total parenteral nutrition (feeding through
the vascular access), thorax tube insertion ( lung air leak treatment).
2 open intervention beds,
Fully equipped transport incubator with 1 breathing apparatus,
3 portable phototherapy devices,
1 tunnel type phototherapy device
12 monitors where all vital functions can be monitored,
There are 12 bedside oxygen, dry air and aspiration systems.
Our unit accepts babies from other hospitals. The
Intensive Care environment can be provided by 1 Child Health and Diseases
Specialist and 2 Nurses in the team during transport for the sick baby taken
from the other hospital.
