The operation usually takes 2-2.5 hours. After the operation, the nasal packings (tampons) are placed into the nose, and there will be a cast on it. Packings are removed in 1-3 days and cast in 7-10 days. After the operation, there may be swelling and bruising on the face, especially under the eyes. It will recover in 1 week. After the operation, the nose regains its new form after 6 months. The patient should refrain from heavy exercises and should be protected from the sun for 2 months. Glasses also should not be worn in this period.
