The endoscopic method, which is used in the

Recto-sigmoidoscopy is the procedure of examining the last 30–40
cm of the large intestine called the rectum and sigmoid colon with a thin
flexible instrument with a light source and camera at the end.
This examination is necessary if there is a risk of colon cancer or to diagnose
unexplained rectal bleeding, pain, inflammation or diarrhea.
