Neurology

Our Neurology Department at Saygı Hospital serves its
patients in diagnosis, treatment and follow-up with its multidisciplinary
working system with Neurosurgery, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation,
Psychiatry, Radiology, Cardiology, Internal Diseases, Intensive Care and
Reanimation Units, Biochemistry and Microbiology laboratories in our hospital
for various diseases.

In the Neurology Department, outpatient and inpatient
diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services are provided. Brain bleeding,
headache, dizziness, cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders, muscle and
nerve diseases, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke and sleep
disorders are the areas of our department. service is provided.

When necessary, studies are carried out in close cooperation
with Medical Imaging and Brain, Spinal Cord and Nerve Surgery Departments in
our hospital. Examinations such as cranial tomography or magnetic resonance
(MR) imaging, echocardiography, extra cranial Doppler are applied to our
patients and the results obtained contribute to the follow-up and treatment of
our patients. In severe cases that endanger the life of the patient, such as
stroke and frequent seizures, the follow-up and treatment of our patients are
carried out in the intensive care unit.          

EMG (electromyoneurography) examination, which is a
dynamic diagnostic method in the diagnosis of painful conditions such as lumbar
and neck hernia, and to evaluate neuropathies that often occur with complaints
such as hand and foot numbness, is performed in our electrophysiology
laboratory. Botulinum toxin injection therapy is applied in patients with
dystonia.EEG (electroencephalography) examination, which is used for
differential diagnosis in many diseases of the central nervous system,
especially epilepsy, can also be performed in our electrophysiology laboratory.
