Prosthetic Dental Treatment is the field of dentistry
that provides the restoration of teeth that have incurred excessive loss of
material and replacement of lost tissues due to tooth deficiencies. The main
objective is to maintain the health of mouth and peripheral tissues as a whole
and to regain the lost function and aesthetics. Prosthetic practices include
stationary and mobile treatment options depending on the condition of tooth deficiency.

Stationary practices include crown and bridge treatment
which provide the restoration of form and aesthetics of the teeth which have
incurred excessive material loss due to the reasons such as tooth decay or
fractures; maintain the health of the teeth with root canal treatment through
post systems. At the same time, thanks to the clinical techniques and prostatic
materials which are quite advanced nowadays; development of aesthetics by
fixing the discoloration, structural deformation and perplexed at a certain
level, constitution of the smile design by intervening the present tooth
surface at minimum level through aesthetic porcelain laminated applications are
also within the scope of the application area of denture. In addition to
laminated applications, full porcelain crowns without metal support are used in
fore tooth groups where the aesthetic requirements are high. Partial dentures
in cases with more teeth deficiency and total prostheses applied in case of
total edentulism also constitute mobile prosthetic restorations. In addition to
the conventional mobile prostheses, non-crocheted systems provided with
sensitive holders nowadays increase the comfort and aesthetic requirements of the patient.

Implant surface techniques have come to the level of
today along with developing biomedical technology. These developments are closely
monitored and applied in our clinic. It provides great advantages in increasing
the comfort and aesthetics and rehabilitation of the missing teeth and tissues
without intervention to the remaining teeth.

Periodontology is a branch of dentistry that deals with
the diseases and treatments of peri-implant tissues surrounding the implants
placed in substitution for the alveolar bones and gingival tissues surrounding
the tooth and the lost teeth and that provides the maintenance of the health
status gained afterwards. Teeth are lost only because of tooth decay, but also
mostly because of advanced gingival disease. Symptoms of gingival disease are,
especially gingival bleeding, gingival hyperplasia, redness, pruritus, need of
tampering, gingival recession, sensitivity in recession areas, inflammation

in gingiva in the upcoming period, feeling of elongation
in teeth, displacement, food compression between teeth and dangling in teeth.

Patients often complain of breath odor and bad smell in
the mouth. The most important cause of gingival disease is the adhesive and colorless
film layer which accumulates on teeth and named as “bacterial dental plaque”.
Besides, genetic factors, smoking and tobacco use, stress, conditions in which
the hormones change such as pregnancy, some medicines, systemic diseases,
malnutrition affect the periodontal health. There are different treatment
options depending on the type, course and severity of disease. Non-surgical
periodontal treatments such as tartar removal, sub gingival curettage; surgical
periodontal treatment options such as flap operation, gingivectomy,
gingivoplasty, gingival grafts are applied by the physician in accordance with
the needs of patient. The maintenance of periodontal disease after treatment is
ensured by regular physician controls and proper oral health care.

Endodontics is a department of dentistry that deals with
dental pulp (living dental tissue that involves vascular-nervous pack) and
performs its treatments.

Endodontic treatments, also known as root canal
treatment, involves the treatment of necrotic pulp which causes no complaint
and lesions progressing depending on it as well as the infected and inflamed
pulp treatments which causes complaints such as hypersensitivity (increase of
sensitivity), pain and swelling.

Root canal treatment is usually completed in one or two
sessions, depending on the condition of tooth and patient. Root canal treatment
has a very important advantages such as killing pain, regaining the chewing
function and maintaining the function of the tooth in mouth. In our surgical
clinic, all surgical interventions related to oral, tooth and jaw diseases,
especially preprosthetic surgery and implant surgery, changes related to
radiotherapy and medicine can be controlled; joint diseases and all dent
alveolar infections can be treated locally and if necessary, by using the
facilities of operating room under general anesthesia.
