NEUROLOGY

As in the rest of the world, death and diseases caused by neurological diseases are in the first place in terms of other first issues in our country. Neurology is a branch of internal medicine that develops diagnostic methods and non-surgical treatment applications for diseases of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nervous system and muscles. Although our nervous system has free diseases for itself, it is affected by the diseases studied by other branches and plays a role in the development of these diseases. The development of neurology has been continuing rapidly in the last 50 years with the development of science and technology, especially methods like computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and other advanced instrumental and laboratory methods.

In the newly opened Neurology Department of our clinic:

• Head – facial pain syndromes, migraine,
• Neuropathy, neuropathic pain and other peripheral nervous system diseases
• Loss of consciousness, epilepsy and other diseases affecting consciousness
• Brain vascular diseases
• Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia syndromes
• Parkinson and other movement disorders
• Multiple sclerosis and other diseases that cause myelin loss
• Nervous system diseases secondary to internal diseases

is examined. At the same time, preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up of patients in risk-bearing diseases are performed by this department.
