EYELID AESTHETICS (BLEPHAROPLASTY)

As you age, sagging and bagging of the upper and lower eyelids may occur due to gravity. This makes the person appear older and more tired. This surgery is usually done at the age of 30-40. The upper eyelid operation can be performed singularly, or the upper and lower eyelid can be operated together. It can also be combined with face lift, forehead lift or eyebrow suspension operations. It can be performed under local anesthesia or sedation. Excess skin and connective tissue are removed, connective and muscle tissue are repaired. In the upper lid surgery, the scar coincides with the fold area in the upper lid. In lower eyelid surgeries, the scar is just below the eyelash edge.
