Yoga is an important Indian discipline that has existed
for approximately 4,000 years.  Yoga word meaning whereof is
“unity” is a method of tranquilizing the mind and a way of peace.
 In its essence it harbors the integrity of body, mind and spirit.  

Yoga practices include physical exercises (asana),
breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation activities. Yoga exercises are
the most useful postures that the body can assume which have been discovered
thousands of years ago. It is possible to see such basic postures in
gymnastics, dancing and many other techniques. During the application, the
person discovering his body applies the asana (postures) in line with his
limits.  So the body springs to life, reaches the balance and its
resistance increases. 

Breathing exercises (pranayama) is a study of managing
the life power through breathing. Taking into the body sufficient amount of
breath which is our source of life directly affects the health.  Thanks to
such breathing exercises, the person gets the habit of breathing appropriately
and thus the body and mind health are supported.

Mental exercises on the other hand improves concentration
and reduces the stress felt in the mind.  It is the stress level of the
person which directly affects holistic health. Stress experienced in the mind
directly affects the health of the body as well.  Therefore, when holistic
health is in question, tranquilizing the brain and clarifying the mind are of
great importance. 
By means of meditation exercises, mental health is supported and the person can
reduce the stress level. 

Stress management is important

Stress has substantial effects on the health of body and
mind.  It is observed that most of the disorders suffered are
stress-related. When the effect of stress on the treatment process is
considered as well, “stress management” has become an important requirement.
 Although all the people incurring the disorder heard the
saying of “stay away from the stress” they could not know how they
could do it.   Breathing and meditation exercises help the person to
perform stress management.
