What is Urology?

Urology is a branch of science that deals with kidney,
urinary tract and male sexual diseases.

The introduction of stone crushing machines into the service of medicine in today’s
conditions has produced nearly 90% non-surgical solutions in kidney stone
diseases. Advances in science have made it possible to perform closed prostate
surgeries, endo urological interventions, laparoscopic surgeries.

In addition, the widespread use of sexual freedom, in vitro fertilization,
innovations in genetic engineering, and the possibility of cloning have brought
a different perspective to sexuality and reproduction, and Urology has created
major transformations related to this. Urology, which was forbidden with
some applications of yesterday, has developed so much that it cannot fit into a
single discipline with its modern applications and new understandings.

Urology Department Our Services

All types of urological examinations: Complete urine
examination, urine culture, ELISA, PCR method and special microbiological
examinations, all biochemical, hormonal tests, tumor markers,
immunological-serological, genetic tests are performed.

As imaging method: We  use methods such as ultrasound,
doppler, tomography and semi-open MRI.

Except for the subjects generally mentioned above, in
every prostate enlargement disease;

Uroflowmetry

If free and total PSA is required, a more specific
examination is performed, such as pro PSA.

In the diagnosis of prostate cancer:  Transrectal
Prostate Multiple Biopsy technique (TRUS-Bx) can be easily applied in
outpatient clinic conditions.

In the diagnosis of chronic prostatitis: 4 glass test
(four glass test), searching for chlamydia bacteria, which often causes
prostatitis, with PCR method, transrectal ultrasonography is used. In the
treatment of prostatitis, modern methods such as intra prostatic injection and
ESWT are used.

In erectile dysfunction: In addition to routine
examinations, Gonadotropic hormones, penile doppler examination is performed
and cause-oriented treatment. We also successfully use ESWT method in the
treatment of erectile dysfunction.

In case of urinary incontinence :
Special ultrasonographic examination, uroflowmetry, cystoscopic observation
examination in the diagnosis. In addition to the routine methods, TOT, TVT
operations, special Kegel exert device are used in treatment.

Prostate CA, Urology ESWT, Urinary Incontinence

Our patient has a highly developed urology operating
room. The following methods are applied in current urology practice.

1. All kinds of open surgeries: Stones, tumors,
anomalies, stenosis, urinary incontinence surgeries (TOT, TVT). Operations
such as Urethro pelvic, Ureterovesical stenosis, and Hypospadias are performed
under the conditions of our hospital. Frozen section (first pathological
examination during the operation) is performed in tumor operations.

2. Application of endoscopic methods such as cystoscopy
and ureterorenoscopy, which are basic in the diagnosis and treatment of
urological diseases.

3. Breaking of ESWL-resistant stones with Pneumotic
Lithotripsy (Air Impact Stone Breaking) applied with endoscopy has reduced the
option of open surgery to 10%.

4. TURP (electro) known as closed prostate
surgery. Green light application.

5. TURB application in the diagnosis and treatment of
bladder tumors by closed method.

6. Microsurgical varicocelectomy and micro TESE
application in infertility surgery.
