Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Neonatology Unit) 

Our hospital provides necessary support to all newborn
babies in need of intensive care. In the light of up-to-date information,
it provides babies with their families in a short time with modern medical
equipment, and provides the necessary resources for informing and educating
families. Our unit is designed to serve the sick newborns who require the
most severe and advanced care, and the intensive care service is provided by a
neonatology specialist, 1 associate professor and 1 specialist physician. 

Our unit consists of three separate sections: the section
for advanced premature babies and term newborns with severe disease (15 incubators),
the isolation section where patients from external centers and septic patients
are followed (8 rooms), and the section where better babies whose diseases are
under control (15 incubators). has been arranged. Our neonatal intensive
care unit has 38 incubators, 22 mechanical ventilators, 38 monitors, 12
phototherapy devices, blood gas devices and TPN preparation units. 

In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, advanced care is
provided to preterm babies from the 22nd gestational week, babies with respiratory
distress, babies who have swallowed meconium in the womb, babies with high risk
such as brain and other organ damage caused by difficult birth. 

In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; respiratory
support (ventilator therapy), blood exchange, phototherapy (light therapy),
percutaneous catheter applications (thin vascular access from the thin vessels
in the arm and leg to the heart), total parenteral nutrition (feeding through
the vascular access), thorax tube insertion ( pulmonary air leak treatment),
bedside ECHO (Heart ultrasound), bedside USG (ultrasound to evaluate the brain
and other internal organs), retinopathy examination (eye examinations of
preterm babies) are performed.
