The following services with advanced technology devices are provided by our special physicians and our experienced
health personnel’s. These services are provided between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm during working days except Sundays in our hospital.
Electrocardiography (ECG),
Electrocardiogram in effort
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor,
Rhythm Holter (Rhythm ECG),
Doppler echocardiography (EKO)
The electrocardiograph device allows the electrical forces generated by the heart tissue to be
recorded through the electrodes, which are attached to the arms, legs and chest.
With ECG, heart rhythm and conduction disturbances can be detected, coronary insufficiency or infarct can
be diagnosed, thickening of heart walls and enlargement of heart cavities can
be detected, effects of some heart medications, electrolyte imbalance
(especially serum potassium deficiency or excess) and cardiac effects of non-cardiac
diseases can be detected.
ECG data is evaluated according to patient complaints, examination findings, and other laboratory
findings.
Some ECG changes that are not seen in normal situations
may occur when heart rate increases during physical exercise. A “treadmill
effort test” is applied to detect these changes. This test is to run on a
moving band that is set by the patient at a speed and level by a doctor. Before
the test, ECG recordings are made at appropriate intervals during the test and
at rest. Also, the blood pressure is measured.
This test identifies whether the chest pain is a result
of coronary insufficiency or not, whether there is silent coronary
insufficiency in patients without chest pain or not, exercise capacity or safe
exercise level, heart rate and blood pressure exacerbation response, heart
rhythm disturbances during exercise, and the results are evaluated by the
physician.
The blood pressure of the patient is measured and recorded with the blood pressure holter for 24 hours,
and the blood pressure related complaints are evaluated by the 24 hour blood
pressure monitor. For this, a lightweight monitor is used that is carried with
a belt and that is attached to the patient’s waist. The monitor is swollen with
a kit attached to the stomach for 20-30 minutes to make a blood pressure
measurement, and the monitor records these measurements. After 24 hours, the
information in the memory of the monitor is analyzed by the physician in the
computer environment and reported so that changes in the patient’s blood
pressure during this time period are detected. Thus, the blood pressure changes
of the patient, especially in the nighttime sleep mode due to tension, are
observed. Depending on these observations, the treatment of the patient is
planned.
Echocardiographic examination is accepted as an outstanding and prioritized method used in many
cardiac diseases.
Echocardiography can be used to measure heart volumes, wall thicknesses, assess heart contractions,
heart valves, lumens separating the heart chambers, fluid from the heart,
masses and tumors from the heart, liquid collected between the membranes
surrounding the heart, stenosis, failure and other abnormalities of the heart
valves, blood flow velocity and pressure can be measured.
