Anesthesia and Intensive Care

Gazi Hospital Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department
deals with pre-intervention medical evaluation, pain treatment during and after
the intervention, as well as anesthesia for all kinds of surgical interventions
within the patient care and treatment service.

The service provided includes pre-intervention medical
evaluation and pain relief during and after the intervention, and coping with
vital problems. Analgesia in surgical, diagnostic or therapeutic
interventions, outpatient surgical anesthesia, painless birth, anesthesia in
infants and children, brain and spinal cord surgery anesthesia are among the
special interests of the department.

reflects the latest stages of science and technology and with high scientific
qualities, our experienced team is committed to anesthesia applications in
neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics, vascular

Intensive Care

Every patient whose vital functions are impaired to carry
vital risk is defined as a critical patient. Intensive Care Units are
multidisciplinary areas equipped with advanced technology that provide vital
support to critical patients for 24 hours. In recent years, advances have
been made in intensive care services thanks to the developments in technology.

It serves as surgical intensive care, neonatal intensive
care, surgical intensive care in our intensive care units.

Gazi Hospital General Intensive Care Units are total
units equipped with advanced technology and are available in every hospital of
the group. There are artificial respirators and monitors suitable for all
kinds of monitoring at the head of each bed. In addition, there is a dialysis
machine ready to use for sudden kidney failure.

While our group intensive care units serve with its young
and experienced staff, it also receives the support of physicians from other
fields. All laboratory tests and imaging tests can be applied to patients
in the intensive care unit at any time of the day.

In our units where all critical patients are admitted to
pediatric and adult age, all kinds of follow-up, treatment and care services
related to the patient are carried out by the staff of the department. The
following group of patients are accepted in our departments where patients who
meet the general intensive care admission criteria are admitted:

Patients who require close follow-up after major surgery,

Patients who have had a brain hemorrhage,

Patients with sudden paralysis,

Severe respiratory failure

Patients with serious infections,

Poisoning that disrupts or is expected to impair vital functions,

Patients with general body trauma (such as head, chest, abdominal and extremity trauma)

Patients with nervous system diseases (such as Myasthenia Gravis, Guillian Barre)

Sudden renal failure requiring emergency dialysis
