Child immunology and allergy diseases

In the Pediatric Allergy Outpatient Clinic, diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases such as asthma, chronic cough, tuberculosis, cystic fibrosis (such as lung diseases), eczema, food allergies, and drug allergies are performed.
Allergy is an excessive reaction to some substances as a result of being affected by some substances taken or in contact with the body or weather conditions. The immune system functions to protect the body and reacts to certain substances that are not harmful to some people. These reactions of our body are called “hypersensitivity” or “allergy”. The antigen that causes an allergic reaction is called an “allergen”. Allergic reactions can occur in many different ways. Allergies can occur in different parts of the body, and the allergy can be of varying severity.

For the diagnosis of diseases, allergy tests, respiratory function tests and sweat tests are performed.
