fat grafts are largely melted after a certain period of time, their permanence
is limited. Dermis and fascia grafts are tissues with less dissolution and
longer permanence. By placing these tissues in the lip, lip volume is
increased, thus lip thickening is provided.
These procedures can be performed easily under local anesthesia. Swelling
usually disappears within 7-10 days.
Lip thickening with hyaluronic, a substance present in the body, used to thicken
the lips, injected under the skin and under the mucosa, is a non-surgical
method. One of the longer-acting fillers developed in recent years and
applied in our clinic is the injection form of the substance called calcium
hydroxyapatite. This article continues for a period of up to 7 years.
It is the process of reducing excessively thick lips. An elliptical piece of the
thick lip mucosa (red colored part) is removed together with the fat tissue
underneath and stitched with an appropriate technique. This procedure is
done under local anesthesia. The swelling and bruises disappear within a
few days. Since the traces of the stitches made on the mucosa are not
visible, there is no scar problem after the surgery.
