Neonatal intensive care

Vera Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides the
necessary support to all babies in need of intensive care. In the light of
up-to-date information, it provides babies with their families in a short time
with modern medical equipment, and provides the necessary resources for
informing and educating families.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides advanced care to
babies with high risk such as preterm birth, multiple pregnancy, babies of
mothers with diabetes, large babies, babies who swallowed meconium in the womb,
brain and other organ damage caused by difficult birth. The Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit, which provides all the necessary medical and surgical
services to its young patients, provides health services to all newborn babies
in need of intensive care in Turkey and neighboring countries, as well as the
hospital. For this purpose, services are provided in cooperation with air
and land ambulance systems.

In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; respiratory support
(ventilator therapy), blood exchange, phototherapy (light therapy),
percutaneous catheter applications (thin vascular access from the thin vessels
in the arm and leg to the heart), total parenteral nutrition (feeding through
the vascular access), thorax tube insertion ( lung air leak treatment),
invasive blood pressure monitoring (untouched umbilical blood pressure
measurement), bedside EEG (brain electrode), bedside ECHO (Heart ultrasound),
bedside USG (ultrasound to evaluate the brain and other internal organs),
retinopathy examination (eye examinations of preterm babies) are also
performed. Unit; It receives 24-hour support from Pediatric Surgery,
Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Gastroenterology,
Pediatric Metabolism and Endocrinology.
