Cataract is the blurring of the transparent lens in our
eyes. The most common cause of cataract is aging, however, it can be
experienced at an early age too.
Also, trauma, chemical substances, systemic diseases such
as diabetes and drugs can speed up the cataract development.
The most common symptom is to start losing the ability to
see. There may be also complaints such as light reflections and glare.
The purpose of the cataract treatment is to increase the
ability to see. The level of affecting the life of the patient is much more
important rather than the level of vision when deciding on the operation.
The progressed cataract operations may take longer and the risk may increase
because of complications such as glaucoma and uveitis.
The cataracts intraocular lens of the patient is removed and a transparent lens is placed.
There were many complaints and the recovery process was long in the cataract
surgery in the past, however, today, the cataract is removed with a small
incision with phacoemulsification method and the transparent lens is placed.
There is no need for stitches after the operation. There is no need to stay at
the hospital for the patient after the operation. The patient should use the
prescribed drugs for 10-15 days after the operation and use glasses, if
necessary.

The most basic feature that makes our hospital different is that it has an intensive care and dialysis unit (19 + 1 machine) with the highest bed capacity, established in 1991, equipped with the latest medical infrastructure. We are one of the rare hospitals that provide dialysis service in intensive care.
