Description

ERCP

It is the name given to the examination under x-ray by
filling the main bile ducts connecting (KC) – (Pancreas) – (Gall Bladder) with
a side-view camera extending from the stomach to the duodenum with radiopaque
material.

The procedure is applied on an empty stomach for 5 hours,
usually sedative and narcotic painkillers are used in certain doses. Drug
allergies and heart valve diseases should be investigated beforehand.
