Heart diseases are among the main causes of death in the world and in our country.
Some of the heart diseases can increase the sudden cardiac death. These are
coronary heart diseases, cardiomyopathies, heart valve diseases, myocarditis,
congenital heart diseases, primary rhythm disorders, heart diseases related to
drugs and some toxic substances. Cardiac surveillance and cardiology
examinations are carried out in Cardiology Clinic and Cardiology Laboratory in
Private Cape Hospital. The structure, gaps, valves, and function of the heart
is evaluated with the ultra-sonographic examination of the heart with the
echocardiographic examination. Electrocardiography recording is carried out for
24 hours or more with Holter Monitoring and findings related to
rhythm-transmission problems or coronary artery disease are being investigated
by evaluating the records in line with the patients’ complaints. The diagnosis,
follow-up, and evaluation of the functional capacities of patients with the
coronary artery disease are carried out in Exercise ECG laboratory.
Required procedures are planned by evaluating the heart
valve replacement, valvuloplasty, TAVI indications according to
echocardiographic findings.
The patient is guided to required procedures by deciding
on whether there are indications in terms of the pacemaker, ICD application, or
electrophysiological study in line with the findings.
Guidance is provided to the patients if Coronary
Angiography is necessary in the light of the findings.
