Perinatology (high risk pregnancy)

In the risky pregnancy outpatient clinic, detailed analyzes are performed with
some special and advanced imaging devices (second-level (detailed) ultrasound
examinations, doppler, color doppler, three and four-dimensional ultrasound)
and, if necessary, samples taken from the mother’s womb (placenta) and water.

11-14 weeks Down screening test and nuchal thickness measurement

16-18 weeks down screening test and nuchal thickness measurement

CVS (chorionic villus biopsy)

A small amount of tissue is taken from the wife of the mother (placenta)
with the help of a thin needle accompanied by ultrasonic imaging. Examinations
are made with special techniques on the part taken. The main purpose is to
detect possible chromosomal abnormalities in the baby. Especially 11-14. It
is applied during pregnancy weeks.

Amniocentesis

It is the process of examining the sample taken from the water in the
mother’s womb in order to understand the chromosome structure of the baby in
the mother’s womb and to detect possible abnormalities before birth. Since
it is a procedure accompanied by ultrasonic imaging, it does not harm the
mother or the baby. This liquid sample is put back in a few hours by the
baby. There is no fluid loss. Usually in advanced age pregnancies and
16-20. It is done in the period between weeks

Cardiocentesis

It is the process of taking a blood sample from the umbilical cord of the
unborn baby. It is a prenatal diagnostic test performed as of the 20th
gestational week.
