Mental health is the individuals bodily, mentally and socially state of wellness. Not being ill or tired is not enough by itself. It is the state where a person feels good, aware of their personal abilities and surrounding possibilities, able to handle the daily stress of life, able to use social support systems when in need and work efficiently to contribute to the community they belong to.

Disorders regarding mental health are the leading cause of workforce and efficiency loss around the world. Mental disorders, which have an extremely broad spectrum, also plays a negative part on the individuals bodily health. Inversely, disorders such as; diabetes, hearth disorders, oncologic diseases like cancer and other many chronic or repetitive disorders can disrupt mental health. In return, this disrupted mental health negatively effects these disorders, therefore shortening the life expectancy and lowering the life quality of the patient.

In our hospital, mental health and disorders (psychiatry) service is given on polyclinic basis. In the light of scientific developments, detailed mental examination is conducted, disorders are diagnosed with medical tests such as; laboratory (blood, etc.) and radiological inspections (Computed Tomography, etc.) when necessary, and treated with up-to-date scientific treatment methods.
