What is Pathology?

Pathology, popularly known as “the division that
separates benign and malignant tumors”, examines possible health problems
by investigating any fluid or tissue that comes out of the body.
Pathology, which means ‘science of diseases’, which is formed by combining the
words ‘pathos’ and ‘logos’ in the ancient Greek language, is an important field
of expertise in medicine. It examines the causes of diseases, their
emergence mechanisms, the changes they cause in tissues and their clinical
reflections. From this aspect, pathology, which constitutes an important
field in medicine; It is known as the department where the definitive
diagnosis of many diseases, especially ‘benign and malignant tumors’ in daily
practice.
